Hello, again, my fellow Fashionistas/os! I’m Rachel Radecki, and this will be my second semester writing for CollegeFashionista! My first semester as a Style Guru was a wonderful experience, and I’m so excited for my second! I’m a sophomore at the University of Missouri in Columbia (Mizzou) studying strategic communications in the J-School. I’m from St. Louis, so Mizzou is super close to home for me. Hopefully, I will have a career in advertising or public relations after graduating. My dream would be to work in Chicago!
After working with CollegeFashionista for one semester, I have learned a lot about fashion and blogging. I’ve definitely started to pay closer attention to trends and popular styles around my campus, and luckily I’ve seen a lot of inspiration from fellow Style Gurus as well.
My personal style depends on the day and how much time I have to get dressed in the morning. In an ideal world, and with an ideal budget, I would have blogger Sarah Vickers’s wardrobe and dress like a J.Crew model everyday. But, unfortunately, being on a college budget limits me to cheaper attempts at similar looks.
My winter favorites this year have been flannels, boyfriend jeans and booties. It’s a warm and comfortable look that’s easy to throw together before those early 8 a.m. classes. I always like to top off a look with a bold statement necklace to complete the outfit.
In my free time I like to drink excessive amounts of coffee and binge-watch Netflix. My all-time favorite show is The Office and I re-watch it pretty regularly. Currently I’m in the process of watching Gilmore Girls, and I’m absolutely obsessed.
